Last updated: May 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Definitive Infinity Media ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information through Entry Level Game Jobs (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

This document is provided as a starting template and has not been reviewed by an attorney. It will be replaced with finalized, legally reviewed copy before the platform exits beta.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide

  • Account data: name, email, password (hashed), profile photo, and optional bio
  • Job seeker data: resume content, skills, preferences, application history
  • Employer data: company name, billing details, listings, and team members
  • Communications: support requests, feedback, survey responses

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used, search queries, timestamps
  • Device data: IP address, browser, operating system, device identifiers
  • Cookies: small files used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure usage

2. How we use information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Service
  • To match job seekers with relevant listings and surface listings to employers
  • To process payments and prevent fraud
  • To send transactional emails (applications, billing, account notifications) and, with your consent, marketing emails
  • To analyze usage, debug issues, and measure performance
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. How we share information

We share information only as described below.

  • With employers: When you apply to a job, the employer receives the application materials you submitted.
  • Service providers: We use third parties to host the Service (Vercel, Neon), process payments (Stripe), send email (Resend / Nodemailer), provide analytics (PostHog), and run AI features (OpenAI, Hume). They process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
  • Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Your choices and rights

  • Access and correction: You can review and update most account information from your account settings.
  • Deletion: You can delete your account at any time. We will delete or anonymize personal information except where retention is required (for example, tax or billing records).
  • Marketing emails: Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or change preferences in your account.
  • Cookies: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Doing so may break parts of the Service.
  • Regional rights: Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California) you may have additional rights such as data portability, the right to object to processing, or the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise those rights.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active, and afterward only as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Resume and application data is deleted when you delete your account, except where an employer has already received it.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, role-based access controls, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

7. International transfers

The Service is operated from the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Service and the updated Policy will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
